With a great storyline and some wonderful characters, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo score high in all areas and is really worth its place on top of all the bestseller lists.

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo begins by introducing us to the main character Mikael Blomkvist and Lisbeth Salander. Both these characters are works of genius in themselves and the reader will eventually be transported to the world that they live in. With easy to follow course material and some translations of the Swedish original work, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo has different to anything I’ve ever read previously in a fiction novel style. I really connect to it from the beginning and love the story line is complex, detailed, wanted to move from one chapter to the next.

Character sketch by Stieg Larsson made a beautiful way with Salander as the unexpected hero one could imagine. A hacker extraordinary, mysterious in her ways and actions and makes one wonder to what he would do next. Other protagonist, Mikael Blomkvist, an investigative journalist is another character that was created as a perfect folly to Salander mysterious. This book really comes alive when a second explosive character meet and pair up to solve a decades old murder mystery.

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo does have some scenes of violence and gruesome and possibly disturbing to read for a specific audience, but it is important to plot the book. The book is a little boring towards the middle when Blomkvist is tracing the history of the Vanger family, but other than that this book is one that can not be put down. I also felt the end was a bit hasty, but it can not happen to you.

The climax of this book is a great feature, and although a bit too loud for my liking, overall the book gets a five star vote from my end. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo must-read for all lovers of fiction and mystery together and really deserve a place among the bestsellers list.
